The toxicology test results for the late singer and star, Ilerioluwa Aloba (aka Mohbad), are now out. As previously announced, these results were expected to reveal the cause of death of the late singer.
Recall that in November 2023, Lagos State Counsel, Oluwaseun Akinde, confirmed to the coroner’s court sitting in the Ikorodu area of the state that the test was being conducted in the United States.
Recently, an official from the state government, familiar with the case, informed PUNCH’s correspondent that the test results were received by the state DNA and Forensic Centre last week. The official added that the results were sent to the police earlier this week, stating: “The toxicology test is ready and has been given to the police. We projected 10 weeks from the outset, but it arrived earlier than expected. It was received by the DNA and Forensic Centre last week and has been sent to the police.”
A source from the Lagos State Police Command, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed receipt of the results, adding: “The toxicology report is with us. It arrived on Monday, but it’s written in medical jargon, which we don’t understand. So, it has been sent to the pathologist who carried out the autopsy to analyze and interpret it.”
