Police arrest two for ‘stealing’ Dangote truck in Ogun

The police in Ogun state have arrested Mohammed Ndatotu and Lawal for allegedly stealing a vehicle of the Dangote Cement Factory in Ibese.

Omolola Odutola, the commands public relations officer, in a statement made available to OgunWatch disclosed that the  truck driver employed by the transport department of Dangote Cement in Ibese had said that his truck registered under the licence plate KPF 237 XA had been taken while he had left his two motor boys, Mohammed Lawal and Ismail, inside.

“Upon returning to the parking area on October 29, 2023, the driver discovered that his truck had been taken to an unknown location, and the two motorboys had absconded,” Odutola said.

She continued, “the Ogbere Divisional Police Officer later tracked and apprehended one Lawal and Mohammed Ndatotu at Ogbere.”

The two suspects have since “confessed to stealing the vehicle from its parked location,” she added.

Odutola also stated that the police have begun an inquiry into the situation and are taking the required procedures in accordance with the law.
