Supreme Court validates Gov Abiodun’s election

The election of Ogun State Governor Adedapo Abiodun has been upheld by the Supreme Court.

A five-member panel of the court unanimously denied Oladipupo Adebutu’s appeal. Adebutu ran as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the recent Ogun State gubernatorial election.

Adebutu and his party were deemed to have failed to prove their case by Justice Tijjani Abubakar, who read the lead judgement.

After ruling on every matter brought up against the appellants, Justice Abubakar declared the appeal to be without merit.

He proceeded to dismiss it
