Pelican valley lights up Ogun communities

Pelican Valley estate has installed industrial solar lights in over ten neighboring communities in Ogun state.

The community includes Kobape, Egbeda, Galatia, Masha, Mosunmore, and Ijo-Alafia among others. 

According to the CEO of the firm,  Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo,  at least N20 million had been invested in the street lighting project for the estates and the link roads on its corridors.

The real estate firm is behind the Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, where unusual home happens; Pelican Brief Estate, Pelican Ecostay Apartments, and Pelicanโ€™s Greenish Acres Farm Estate โ€“ all three located at the Kobape โ€“ Masha axis of Ogun state.

This gesture according to the CEO was put in place ahead it Ecostay Apartments ready to be launched on September 11, 2024. 

Adeyemo however, reiterated the firmโ€™s commitment to putting all necessary infrastructure in all its states and turned them to Dubai.

Reacting, the Baale of Masha Village, Chief Sadu Sotunde commended Adeyemo on the project and other things the community has been benefiting from him, saying he deserved their prayers.

Chief Sotunde urged the state government to fix the road where the solar lights were installed to add more value to the community and residents.

He said โ€œThe first day I saw the solar Street lights, I was so delighted. I have been praying day and night for the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited who did it for us. In December 2023, he donated food stuff, and cash to the number of windows of my village. I want to charge the state government to support the vision of this man by providing other social amenities and constructing Asphalt roads for our communities.

Also, the Balogun Mosunmore, Chief Biodun Adebeso, said the street light has mitigated the evil acts of criminally minded individuals in the community.

โ€œThe solar Street lights you are seeing were brought to our community by an individual, not the government. Since it was installed, we have been praying for the person who did it for us because the solar Street lights have illuminated our community and its environment and chased away the hidden criminals who perpetrated their evil acts when the community was dark.

โ€œOne day, I strolled down the street to find out where the project stopped from Kobape junction and I discovered that it was beyond Masha village before I was informed that it was done by the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited. This is Galatia community in Kobape, we pray to God to continue prosper the Pelican Valley Estate Nigeria Limited.

e Mr. Sobowale Najeem a member of landlord Association of Ijo-Alafia community stated  that the project has been beneficial to the community since it was installed , stating that the good road construction is what the community is now asking from the present administration.

โ€œThe street light is a blessing to us in this community. Both young and adult residents are praying for the person who did for us because from Kobape to Masha there is no time you cannot work or drive in the night and you will not have fear due to the installed solar Street lights. The then governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba was the one who facilitated power energy to this community from Kobape to Egbeda and we are using this medium to appeal to the incumbent governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to bless us with road construction so more social amenities would be attracted to our community.

An elderly villager, Chief Oridota Olalekan revealed that what pelican estate did for the community is unprecedented, charging the government to give them a good road.

โ€œBefore Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited came here, our community is very dark but now it has illuminated it with solar Street Lights. I want to urged the government to construct this road so that it will be motorable for the residents of this community.

Oridota Adewale Micheal who spoke Onbehalf of the youths, described the CEO of Pelican estate, Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo as โ€˜God sentโ€™ to the community who had given room for easy movement of the youth in the community who cannot walk out in the night before.

โ€œI want to thank the Almighty God who used Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited to bring light in to our community and I pray to God to continue bless the CEO of the firm abundantly. Since the solar Street lights installed, we youths can walk without fear in our community. And on behalf of the we thank the CEO of the firm for his kind gesture to windows in this community.โ€
