32 year-old man rapes drunk girl in Ogun

Thirty two-year-old Gbenga Kolawole has been arrested by the Ogun police command for allegedly raping a sixteen-year-old girl who got drunk during an annual church event.

According to Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, the victim’s mother had informed the authorities that her 16-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted after getting drunk on November 6, 2023, during an annual church year anniversary party in Adubi, Ogun State.

Odutola noted that the mother claimed to have taken her daughter to “a nearby bar shop and locked her there.”

She added that the teenager later “became victim to one Gbenga Kolawole “m” 32yrs who had unlawful carnal knowledge of the drunk girl.”

Kolawole, according to Odutola, was caught in the act by one Sunday Ibrahim of the same residence. 

“The victim has been taken to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention and treatment while the suspect has been arrested for preliminary investigation,” Odutola added.
