‘Kidnappers’ kill Babcock lecturer in Ogun

A lecturer of Babcock University, Olowojobi Yinka, has been shot dead by suspected kidnappers in Iperu local government area of Ogun state.

Yinka who was said to relaxing on Friday at about 9:20pm at Ajadeh Event Centre was shot in the chest for refusing to leave with the kidnappers.

According to an eye witness eight men clothed in black and equipped with guns entered the relaxing lounge, opened fire and whisked away a manager of a car stand, simply known as Dare “m” and a the third person who is yet to be identified.

Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, the Police spokesperson Odutola Omolola, noted that the lecturer was taken to Babcock University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. 

She stated that in order to advance the investigation, the security guard Awada Ishaya “m” of Plateau state, who was hired two weeks ago when the event centre opened, has been arrested.
