Economic downturn: Firm harps on investment in cybersecurity

A consultancy firm specialized in training cybersecurity professionals has advocated for collaborations, investments, and cyber security education   of Nigeria youths.

Omowunmi Oyetinbo, Head of Operations, Wellspring Consulting, noted that if Nigeria can become one of the highest producers of Cybersecurity professionals it will help save the country from its current economic downturn.

According to Oyetinbo, “the consulting firm is well grounded in training cybersecurity professionals which would open doors to endless career possibilities in the ever evolving tech-industry, both locally and globally.

“Wellspring consulting is set to partner various organisations to sponsor young Nigerians, especially young women in building a career in Cybersecurity.

“The firm offers training and free global certification with a globally ranked IT security organization, she said.

Oyetinbo, who defines cybersecurity as the art of protecting computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from harmful attacks, stated that Nigeria has a significant shortage of cybersecurity workers, despite the fact that there is high demand for the profession globally.

She assured that any investment or training in cybersecurity would pay off handsomely for Nigeria.
