Ogun  IPAC gets new chairman

Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi of Action Alliance ( AA) has emerged as the newly elected Chairman of  Inter-Party Advisory Council ( IPAC) in Ogun State. 

The election held at the INEC’s headquarters in Abeokuta, was supervised by the National leadership of IPAC and observed  by Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC).

Abayomi who pulled 10 votes out of the 17 parties defeated  the incumbent Comrade Okusanya of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) who got seven votes.

Ambassador Olufunke Olanrewaju was elected unopposed as the Secretary and other officers.

Speaking to journalists after the swearing in of the new executives, the National President, Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle, said the exercise was a family affairs, saying the whole process was peaceful.

He appealed to the new executives to uphold the tenets of the council.

The newly elected Chairman, Abayomi promised that the new executives would implement many plans that  would give IPAC new face in the State.

” I want to assure you that we are coming on board with action plans that will give IPAC a new face in Ogun State”.

On other contestants who lost the election, he said ” To show our magnanimity to our fellow contestants, we shall set up a Committee to work out on how to accommodate them in the new administration because it is our believe that, there is no winner and no loser”.

He however commended the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun for level playing ground, saying the election was devoid of executive interference.
