Breaking: Ogun assembly swears in Elemide as speaker

The Ogun state House of Assembly has on Tuesday sworn in Hon. Oludaisi Elemide as the speaker of the house.

According to reports Elemide who represents Odeda constituency was sworn in during today’s plenary.

OgunWatch had reported that the former Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo (APC-Ifo1) was impeached last week Tuesday by 18 lawmakers out of 26 members during a plenary presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Mrs Bolanle Ajayi (APC-Yewa South).

According to the house Oluomo was impeached due to gross misconduct which bothers on high handedness, lack of focus and transparency, arrogance and poor leadership style, financial misappropriation and inciting members against themselves.
