Ogun: Abiodun fulfills promise to NLC, NULGE, presents two buses

The Ogun state governor has presented two brand new buses to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) for their day to day activities.

Abiodun noted that the gesture was in fulfillment of his promise to the unions adding that his administration always prioritised the welfare of workers in the state.

The buses were presented at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The governor represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele disclosed that the representatives of the workers in the state need to be mobile to be able to carry out their responsibilities effectively, calling on civil servants in the state to continue to support the present administration.

Hammed Ademola Benco, chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade commended the governor for being sensitive and responsive to the plight of workers in the state.

The NLC chairman, who spoke on behalf of the two unions, said that the governor is a man who is bound by his words and genuinely committed to the plight of workers.

Benco said: “We are extremely grateful to our governor for being a man that is faithful to his words and being a worker-friendly governor. We were not expecting these at this time, but I think the governor’s word is his bond. 

“We are indeed grateful to him and convinced of his commitment to welfare and well-being of workers as well as people of the state.”

The NLC chairman pledged the unalloyed loyalty of the workers to the Dapo Abiodun-led administration towards the optimal fulfillment of its  “Building Our Future Together” mantra.
