Suspected cultists kill man, pregnant woman in Delta state

In a tragic turn of events, Mr. Bobby Kabah and his pregnant wife were fatally shot by gunmen suspected to be cultists in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State. The incident unfolded against the grim backdrop of ongoing clashes between rival cult groups in the community, plunging residents into a state of shock and mourning.

According to reports from reports, the night of Wednesday saw the community gripped by confusion and panic as the sound of gunfire shattered the peace. A source within the community, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Mr. Kabah and his wife were relaxing at their home in Agidiasei quarters when two armed assailants stormed in around 8:35 pm and unleashed a hail of bullets upon them.

“Bobby was at home with his woman because he is nursing an injury on his leg as a result of a motorbike accident he had recently,” the source disclosed. “The gunmen entered his home from the back, met him and his pregnant wife, and opened fire, killing both of them instantly.”

This tragic incident marks the latest in a string of violence stemming from the ongoing cult war in Ogwashi-Uku, which has claimed six lives in the past two weeks alone. Confirming the killings, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, stated, “Yes, it is confirmed, they are not husband and wife, but they were living and killed in the same house.”
