Man kills “Sugar Mummy” over N100,000 in Delta, gives reason

A shocking revelation emerged as the suspect in the murder of Glory Akpaku, a lady residing in Akpoveta School, Delta State, confessed to stabbing her multiple times.

The suspect, in an interrogation video shared on X.com by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, disclosed that Akpaku, the victim, was his sugar mummy before her tragic demise.

According to the suspect, trouble started when Akpaku allegedly refused to return N100,000 she had been keeping for him. In the interrogation video, he revealed that despite his demand for the money, Akpaku insisted on returning it after her trip to the market.

Feeling aggrieved by her response, the suspect threatened to reveal their relationship to Akpaku’s son. In retaliation, Akpaku threatened to withhold the money if he exposed their affair.

Enraged by her threat, the suspect confessed to stabbing her multiple times in the neck, hand, and stomach. He expressed remorse for his actions, blaming the devil for his deeds.

Reacting to the confession, Edafe urged the public to learn from the tragic incident, stating, “I share stories like this so we can learn from the mistakes of others.”

Providing further updates on the case, Edafe mentioned that the incident occurred in April and assured that the suspect would be charged in court upon the completion of the ongoing investigation.

“The incident happened in April. He will be charged in court as soon as the investigation is concluded,” Edafe concluded.
