Hardship: don’t celebrate me on my birthday, Tinubu tells Nigerians

In a significant departure from the norm, President Bola Tinubu has opted to forgo traditional birthday celebrations and instead focus on addressing pressing national issues, particularly security challenges. With his 72nd birthday approaching on Friday, March 29th, President Tinubu has underscored the need to prioritize the nation’s stability, security, and unity above personal festivities.

Amidst escalating security concerns, including recent tragic incidents involving the loss of military and police personnel in Delta State, President Tinubu has chosen not to host or attend any birthday events. His decision reflects a deep sense of responsibility towards safeguarding the well-being of all Nigerians and addressing the root causes of insecurity across the country.
