Osimhen admits difficulty turning down Al-Hilal’s €200m offer

Napoli’s star striker, Victor Osimhen, attracted interest from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia after a triumphant season with Napoli. Al-Hilal presented a staggering €200m bid, sparking rumors of an agreement with Osimhen. Breaking his silence, Osimhen revealed the allure of the offer made it challenging to decline.

In an interview on the ‘Obi One Podcast’ with Mikel Obi, Osimhen admitted the enormity of the Saudi offer tempted him, but loyalty to Napoli prevailed. Despite Al-Hilal persistently increasing the financial incentive, Osimhen stood firm in his decision, stating, “It was crazy, but I said no, guys, I’m staying. No regrets.”

While a move to Saudi Arabia could have aligned Osimhen with fellow Nigerians like Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo, he remains committed to Napoli. Despite ongoing interest from European powerhouses like Chelsea and Manchester United, Osimhen expressed his current focus on his club career.
