Elon Musk warns X accounts: engagement farming risks suspension

Elon Musk, CEO of X, formerly known as Twitter, issued a stern warning regarding the use of engagement farming on the social media platform. Engagement farming involves activities aimed at inflating interaction metrics without providing meaningful content.

Musk took to his X handle on Friday to address the issue directly, stating that any accounts found engaging in such practices would be subject to suspension. He emphasized the platform’s commitment to identifying and penalizing those involved in such activities, declaring, “Any accounts doing engagement farming will be suspended and traced to source.”

The announcement underscores X’s efforts to maintain the integrity of its platform and ensure that users engage in genuine interactions rather than resorting to artificial means to boost their metrics. Musk’s proactive stance signals a zero-tolerance approach to manipulative practices that undermine the authenticity of social media interactions.
