“Bloody serpent,” Akeredolu’s wife berates ex-gov’s niece for supporting Aiyedatiwa

The widow of the late former governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, publicly criticized her husband’s niece, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, for endorsing the current governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the upcoming Ondo State governorship election.

Betty, in a Monday morning Instagram post, referred to Funke as “shameless” and suggested that time will reveal whether she is truly fortunate.

The late governor’s wife exclaimed, “Behold the face of Aketi’s niece, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, shamelessly parades as ‘I am lucky.’ Bloody serpent! Time will tell if she is truly lucky!”

Lucky Aiyedatiwa assumed office as the Governor of Ondo State on December 27, 2023, following the demise of his predecessor, Akeredolu, who succumbed to prostate cancer in Germany at the age of 67.
