Fatinoye: 2 suspects arrested for buying murdered couple’s car at N150,000

Operatives of the Ogun state Police Command on Monday arrested two suspects who were said to have bought the stolen car belonging to the deceased Fatinoye couple. 

The suspects: Azeez Usman and Owolaja Aanuoluwapo, Ogunwatch learnt in a police statement signed by its spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi, were arrested at different locations in the state.

Their arrest followed the confession of the earlier arrested prime suspects in the case who informed the police that the car was sold to Azeez Usman at rate of N150,000.

According to the statement, after the couple were killed, the suspected killers bundled Oreoluwa and Felix, sons of the couple, into the booth of the Hyundai car in question, with which they drove them to Ogun river bridge at Adigbe area, where they were dumped.

Azeez Usman is the one in whose workshop the car was butchered and sold in parts while Anuoluwapo was the one who drove it to him from where the car was earlier parked, it was also learnt from the statement.

The Police further disclosed that their investigation revealed that the suspects were informed that the car was a stolen one, yet they bought it at the rate of N150,000.

Ogunwatch reports that the three prime suspects directly connected to the murdered couple’s case were arrested by the police, amongst which the couple’s personal driver was.
