BVAS at former Ogun gov, Amosun’s polling unit malfunctioned

Former Ogun state governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun was welcome by a large crowd at his polling unit in ward 6, unit 8 in Itoko area of Abeokuta, as he proceed to cast his vote.

The BVAS machine designated for Amosun’s polling unit however malfunctioned for several hours, as only 8 voters were accredited as at the time of filing this report.

The former Governor who is still on the queue as at the time of filling this report is awaiting accreditation alongside several others who had thronged the center to exercise their franchise.

The Abeokuta South Federal Constituency candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Afolabi Afuape, who is voting in the same unit also arrived shortly after Amosun.

Afuape is also waiting for his accreditation as the electoral officers hinted on the replacement of the machine.

Ogunwatch reports that the ratio of voters do the BVAS machine in many polling units in Ogun has slowed down voting.
