So-Safe Corps sacks officer for stealing in Ogun

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, also known as the So-Safe Corps, has discharged one Adeboye Yusuf Sunday from the Corps for theft.

This was stated in a news release signed  by the Corps’ Office of the State Commander, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, via the Corps’ Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

It explained that Adeboye was fired on November 30, 2023, due to his involvement in a theft case that happened in the apartment complex in the Onibukun Area of Obantoko, Abeokuta, where he was stationed.

Ganzallo stated that the client had noticed that certain items in his flat were missing between November 12 and 18, 2023.

The aforementioned development forced the agency to launch a vigorous investigation, which on November 21 resulted in the arrest of Adeboye, an officer assigned to the beat, who subsequently admitted to having committed the crime.

Ganzallo added that the suspect admitted to have stolen several items on various occasions and promised to return the things.

The general public was however urged to refrain from relating with the fired Adeboye Yusuf Sunday as an officer of the agency, emphasising that anyone who does so is at their own risk.

โ€œSo-Safe will not condone any act that can make the good people of the state to lose trust in its excellent security service delivery for the state.

โ€œThis step taken will serve as a deterrent to others who would want to compromise at their duty post,โ€ Ganzallo said.
