65-year-old pastor arrested for assaulting 9-year-old girl in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command apprehended Timothy Adedibu, a 65-year-old clergyman, on charges of allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl in Magboro, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area. The incident unfolded on February 15, triggered by the survivor’s uncle who raised the alarm.

The police identified Adedibu as the presumed leader of a local church. According to the survivor’s family, he reportedly lured the minor into his apartment and sexually assaulted her. State police spokesperson Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident, stating that the investigation was underway.

Odutola mentioned that the survivor’s family received forms for her medical examination and treatment. All involved parties, including the pastor, will be transferred to the headquarters for further investigation. In a separate case, the police arrested Prince Dara for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Abolaniyi Street, Idorawa, via Idi-Oke in the state.
