2024 Update: Top 10 richest women

For the fourth consecutive year, Franรงoise Bettencourt Meyers, inheritor of the Lโ€™Orรฉal fortune, retains her title as the worldโ€™s richest woman in 2024.

Meyers saw a substantial increase in her wealth over the past year, with her net worth reaching $99.5 billion, marking the largest gain among women on the 2024 list. However, she falls just short of joining the esteemed $100 billion club.

According to this yearโ€™s Forbesโ€™ World Billionaires list, women are wealthier than ever, with their representation increasing gradually. Out of 2,781 billionaires worldwide, 369 are women, accounting for 13.3% of the list.

This marks a rise from 337 in 2023, when women comprised 12.8% of the list. These women collectively possess a net worth of nearly $1.8 trillion, representing a growth of approximately $240 billion compared to the previous year.
