Messi shines as Argentina beats Croatia to qualify for W/C final

Argentina has aced past the semi-final of the Qatar 2022 World Cup to the final after running over Croatia in a ghastly 3:0 crash.

Goals from the duo of Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez delivered the La Albiceleste side. To take the lead, Messi stuck the ball into the net in the 34th minute; 5 minutes after, an additional goal by Alvarez further bolstered the bones of the Argentine side.

Assisted by Lionel Messi, Alvarez again delivered the third goal for Argentina in the 69th minute, making a double for himself in the game.

An early penalty awarded against Croatia, which Messi scored seemed to have begun their woes. Trying to equalize the 34th-minute goal concession, they emptied their side into the other box-18, a move which came to hunt them when a counterattack gave the Argentine side their second goal.

In a revengeful return, the Argentine team roasted the Croatian swines on a bed of coals on Tuesday night. In 2018, the Croatian side had beaten Argentina to the same score in a group stage encounter: 3-0.

The Argentine team would again play in the World Cup final since loosing to Germany in Brazil 2014 World Cup. However, since 1986, they have not lifted the most exalted football trophy.

For Messi, it was a history making night, as he becomes the first man since records began in 1966 to score and assist in the same World Cup game for the fourth time. The Argentine captain has now scored three penalties at Qatar 2022 out his total of 5 goals.
