“Celestial church, we must do the show,” Portable snubs Oshoffa’s disapproval

Street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has affirmed his commitment to performing at the Celestial Church of God, Goshen Land Cathedral, in Lagos State.

Portable revealed that he received a payment of N5 million for the scheduled performance.

The church faced public criticism after announcing Portable and Fuji singer Pasuma for their praise night on December 15, 2023.

In response to the backlash, Celestial Church leader Olatosho Oshoffa announced via Facebook that Portable and Pasuma would no longer be part of the event.

Undeterred, Portable, in a widely circulated video, insisted on fulfilling his commitment to the church, emphasizing that he was paid N5 million for the performance.

Addressing the situation in Yoruba, the singer stated, “Celestial church, we must do the show; you have already paid me N5 million. Pasuma will perform, I will also perform, and we must do it.
