Nigerian nightlife promoter Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been granted bail in the amount of 10 million naira by Justice Kehinde Ogundare. This follows his arrest on charges of tampering with and misusing the naira.
Cubana Chief Priest appeared at the Lagos High Court this morning, escorted by the EFCC, around 8:45 a.m. He pleaded not guilty to the three charges against him and was subsequently granted bail.
The charges stem from an incident at a social event on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel, where he is alleged to have sprayed and tampered with the naira, in violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007.
