My government will build on foundation laid four years ago – Abiodun

Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, has stated that during his administration’s second term, it will be a priority to build on the groundwork already established during the previous four years and maintain the inclusion policy.

Abiodun stated that even though his administration may not have lived up to everyone’s hopes and expectations, he promised that in the upcoming four years, his administration will put more effort into improving the lives of the people of Ogun.

The governor made this statement on Sunday during the Special Church Service for his and his deputy’s second-term inaugurations at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Ake, Abeokuta.

Abiodun said: “We have fulfilled our promises to the people in line with our promises. Our legacies are all over the state. We have been just, fair and equitable to all. We have not developed any part of this state to the detriment of the others.

“I want to thank our people for believing in us and entrusting us with their mandates. As you have renewed the mandates, I promise that I will not betray the trust. We will continue to build on the foundation we built. We will be more inclusive and we will keep our promises”.

Abiodun will be inaugurated to office to continue as governor of Ogun state after winning his reelection bid. He would take oath of Office at MKO Abiola stadium, Abeokuta, on Monday, Ogunwatch learnt.
