“APC afraid”: Atiku Campaign reacts to rejection of MKO stadium request

The Atiku Campaign Commitee in Ogun state has reacted to the rejection it got from the Ogun state Ministry of Youth and Sports, saying it implies the ruling party fear their activities in the state.

In an interview with Ogunwatch Tuesday, the Deputy Director General on New Media of the Atiku Campaign Council in Ogun state, Afolabi Orekoya said the rejection it got over its request to use the MKO stadium to welcome its candidate, Atiku Abubakar to the state showed that the ruling party is intolerable of opposition.

Ogunwatch had earlier reported that the Ogun state ministry of Youths and Sport denied the party’s request to use the stadium, citing the current renovation of the stadium as its reason.

Afolabi said: “Yes they denied us the use of the stadium which we wanted to use to welcome our presidential candidate. for the second time on the pretence of it is under construction, despite the fact that it was used for football matches on Sunday.”

“This a facility that ought to be available for everybody so far you go through the real process or procedure of getting it, which we went through but were denied. It just shows how wicked and non-tolerable this government is.”

“They do not want to tolerate opposition, they do not want to allow people to air their beliefs. And it shows that they are just being afraid of what PDP is doing in the state.”
