Sodeinde QuadriPresident Bola Tinubu has pledged to prioritize women’s welfare, safeguard their rights, and promote their interests during his tenure. In a statement released by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, to mark International Women’s Day, Tinubu hailed women as the cornerstone of the nation.
Acknowledging their pivotal role in nation-building, Tinubu underscored the indispensable contribution of Nigerian women to the country’s development, progress, and overall greatness. He lauded their remarkable achievements across various fields, citing their resilience, strength, courage, and ingenuity as emblematic qualities.
Embracing this year’s theme of “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering women through education, inclusion in governance, and active participation across all sectors of the economy.
He emphasized the importance of investing in the education of girls and implementing inclusive programs to nurture their roles in knowledge, science, technology, research, and innovation for a brighter future.
