In a heartwarming gesture, music sensation Wizkid recently visited the residence of Mayegun Yorubaland, K1 De Ultimate, in Ijebu Ode.

The visit came as a token of appreciation from Wizkid for K1’s heartfelt performance at the burial ceremony of Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun. The burial, attended by numerous Nigerian and international figures, took place weeks ago, commemorating the life of Wizkid’s mother, who passed away on August 18, 2023, in London.

K1 De Ultimate, renowned for his sonorous songs, had been one of the distinguished guests invited to lend his musical talents to the poignant occasion. Welcoming Wizkid to Ijebu Ode, K1 expressed warmth and camaraderie during this visit, reinforcing the bond created through the shared experience of commemorating a loved one.

Aside from the appreciation visit, Ogunwatch reports that Wizkid extended his gratitude further by paying a courtesy visit to his secondary school, Ijebu Ode Grammar School, on Friday afternoon.

This wholesome interaction has however gotten his fans highlighting the artist’s connection to his roots and the significance of expressing gratitude to those who contributed to meaningful moments in his life.
