Victor Osimhen set to join Galatasaray on loan

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has accepted a one-year loan deal with Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray. The 25-year-old will join the club from Napoli, where he was excluded from the squad after failing to secure a move to a top European club during the summer transfer window.

Galatasaray will cover Osimhen’s wages for the 2024/25 campaign, and the loan deal does not include a buy option or obligation clause. The move is expected to be finalized soon, with a delegation from Galatasaray set to meet with Osimhen in Naples to complete the transfer.

Osimhen will be reunited with his former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens at Galatasaray and will have the opportunity to compete in the Europa League with the Turkish club.
