Tinubu inaugurates eight permanent secretaries, chairs FEC meeting

President Bola Tinubu conducted the swearing-in ceremony for eight newly appointed Permanent Secretaries on Monday. The appointments were authorized last Friday following the successful completion of the Federal Civil Service’s selection process.

The swearing-in took place just before the initiation of this week’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which President Tinubu is currently presiding over.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Ayodeji, Rimi Abba, Bako Odoh, Omachi Omenka, Ahmed Umar, Watti Tinuke, and Ella Agbo.

During the ongoing FEC meeting, President Tinubu is joined by Vice President Kashim Shettima. Other attendees include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan; and the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

Notably, all ministers and select senior presidential aides, previously granted permission by President Tinubu, are also participating in Monday’s FEC gathering.
