TASUED students frown at manipulation of E-voting process 

Some students of the Tai Solarin University of Education(TASUED) have alleged the management of manipulating the  E-voting process of the Students’ Union election.

Tai Solarin university of education, known as TASUED is a state university founded in 2005 and located in ijebu-ode, Ogun State.

The students of the institution who expressed their dismay on Tuesday stressed that for over two sessions, the dignity of the Students ‘ Union has been handicapped through irregularities from election outcome/ results.

They maintained that while Students’ Union election has been taken over by the management through E-voting championed by the ICT team, the outcome are been manipulated.

Speaking to some students, an anonymous source stated that even at the just concluded college election the numbers of accredited voters did not correspond with the total of votes hence the worry on the  forthcoming SU election.

“Just of recent , last week Thursday precisely, colleges election was conducted but it’s disheartening that the outcome of the election was evidently manipulative where the ICT team had presented the outcome of the election of which numbers of accredited  voters did not correspond with the totality of votes.

“ After that, questions were raised to this effect but the ICT team up till this moment couldn’t give a justification to her manipulative intentions

“ The SUG election is slated for tomorrow, and we are concerned because of the campus’s current climate of fear over another management implemented manipulation.

One of the aspirant Emmanuel Akinjetan going for the post of the union’s president in a video made available to our correspondent, noted that petitions have been granted and submitted to the appropriate quarters but till this moment nothing has been done.

OgunWatch observed that some students also frowned at the management’s new policy of disqualifying aspirants who are yet to pay their tuition fees.

Another source revealed that the new initiative is to aid the manipulation of the election as it was never part of the requirement .

“This was never a part of the process, It has never been part of the requirements and infact i contested 2 years ago, so I experienced one of the processes.

However efforts to reach the TASUED school management proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.
