So-Safe recovers stolen car, as suspects escape arrest in Ogun

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, has recovered a stolen vehicle following a confrontation with suspected car robbers in the state.

This was contained in statement made available to Ogunwatch by the state commander of the Corps, Soji Ganzallo, through his spokesperson Moruf Yusuf.

According to the statement at about 4:15 am on October 14, 2023, Officers of the Ado Odo Division under Agbara Area Command headed by ACC Adebesin Lukman where on routine patrol around Olorunleke Community in Ado Odo Ota Local Government when they sighted the vehicle.

The Officers questioned the suspected men in a white colour 2019 Marcedes Benz DL 450 4matic with registration number EKY 520 JA, on the ownership of the vehicle, but they fled from the scene. 

The statement added that a document was found in the car which disclosed that it was snatched from its owner at a gun point at Ibadan, Oyo State. 

Ganzallo noted that another number plate, AKD 144 AC was found hidden in the vehicle. 

Meanwhile he added that the vehicle has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ado Odo Divisional Headquarter for further investigation.
