Saudi Arabia sends back 264 Air Peace passengers, claims they provided incorrect information.

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria addressed the visa cancellation issue involving 264 Air Peace passengers bound for Jeddah. Upon arrival, Saudi authorities initially canceled all visas, later permitting entry to 87 passengers. The remaining 177 were denied entry due to failure to meet requirements. The Embassy emphasized that these passengers provided incorrect information for an inappropriate visa category. The incident, occurring during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal government delegations’ presence in the Kingdom for the Arab and Africa business summit, has sparked diplomatic concerns. The Federal government and the national assembly have committed to conducting an investigation into the matter.
