Saraki covers medical expenses for ailing actor Mr. Ibu

The ABS Foundation, established by former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has provided financial aid for the medical treatment of the ailing actor, John “Mr. Ibu” Okafor, who is currently facing an undisclosed illness. The non-profit organization is committed to enhancing the well-being of underprivileged Nigerians through various programs.

Mr. Ibu had taken to Instagram to request financial assistance after a video of him in poor health circulated online. Subsequently, many individuals came forward to contribute to his medical expenses. In an announcement on Friday through X, the foundation stated that all of Mr. Ibu’s medical bills had been settled by Wednesday.

The statement from the ABS Foundation expressed their honor in supporting Mr. John Okafor, known as Mr. Ibu, a beloved comedic figure who has brought laughter and happiness to countless households for over four decades. Upon learning of his recent health struggles and the associated financial strain for his treatment, the foundation felt a strong duty to offer assistance. They promptly covered his entire medical costs as of Wednesday.

Nigerian Senator Shehu Sani had earlier assured that he would bring notable Nigerians’ attention to Mr. Ibu’s situation. Singer Paul Okoye also urged his colleagues and fans to support the actor.
