Rwanda holds Nigeria to a goalless draw in AFCON 2025 qualifier

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were held to a goalless draw by Rwanda in their 2025 AFCON qualifier on Tuesday, despite dominating possession and creating several chances.

Victor Osimhen came close to securing a late winner, but Rwanda’s goalkeeper produced a series of crucial saves, denying efforts from both Osimhen and Ademola Lookman. Nigeria’s performance followed their 3-0 victory over Benin Republic, bringing their group tally to four points.

Though both teams had opportunities, the match ended in a stalemate, with Rwanda’s defense proving resilient throughout.
