Prince Harry fails to have Mail on Sunday’s libel defense thrown out

Prince Harry faced a setback in his legal battle against Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL) as he attempted to have a portion of the publisher’s defense dismissed in a libel case.

The Duke of Sussex took ANL to the High Court regarding a February 2022 article that delved into the specifics of his UK security arrangements.

According to the publication, Prince Harry allegedly sought to conceal a legal dispute concerning his security measures in the UK.

Despite his efforts, the judge ruled that ANL’s honest opinion defense had a “real prospect of success” and should proceed to trial.
