A pastor from Christ Liberty Evangelism Church, Rosco, Iyana Iyesi, Ota, named Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, along with three accomplices, were apprehended with a human skull in the Saje Area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.

On Sunday, PUNCH Metro reported that the arrest took place in the early hours of Saturday when Oluwaseyi and the three others, identified as 30-year-old Ibrahim Agbowewe, 40-year-old Suleiman Ogunbunmi, and 57-year-old Gafari Akinsanya, were taken into custody by the state police command.

According to a source within the command, the suspects admitted that they had intended to use the skull for ritualistic purposes. The arrest was made following a tip-off from concerned members of the public who had noticed the suspects’ suspicious activities in the area.

Acting on this information, the police swiftly moved to the area and apprehended the suspects. Additionally, the police seized other items, including a large calabash, a black Toyota Camry car, and a ram found in the possession of the suspects. These items were taken to the police station.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest, stating that the four suspects had confessed to their involvement in the crime. She added, “We arrested the four of them. They have since confessed that they wanted to use the head for blessings and money rituals. The investigations are ongoing to unravel more details about the incident.”
