OpenAI fires CEO Sam Altman

OpenAI, the company behind AI like ChatGPT, removed its CEO, Sam Altman, due to communication issues found in a board review.

Mira Murati is now the interim CEO. Greg Brockman stepped down as board chairman but stays in his role.

The board feels new leadership is needed. OpenAI faces legal problems and an FTC investigation.

ChatGPT’s ability to create content has sparked both interest and worries. Lawsuits, including claims of stealing work, add to OpenAI’s challenges.
