Emerging Nigerian music sensation, Oghenetega Ifedayo Stephen, who goes by the stage name Otega, has just dropped his highly-anticipated sixth album, titled ‘Gold.’
This musical gem, featuring tracks such as ‘Ogo,’ ‘Outside,’ and ‘Biza,’ made its grand entrance onto major streaming platforms this past Sunday, sparking a frenzy of excitement among online music enthusiasts.

‘Gold’ boasts a lineup of notable artists who lent their talents to this project, including Enitxn, Stephen, Blackman Vibe, and Dablixx Osha, who collaborated with Otega on the electrifying track ‘Go Wrong.’
Otega’s journey in the music industry commenced back in 2010 when he began sharing his captivating freestyles online. However, it was his collaboration with indigenous rapper CDQ on the track “Stay Woke” that catapulted him to stardom.
His remarkable synergy with Diamond Jimma on the song “Aje” further solidified his reputation, showcasing his impeccable lyricism and adaptability. His unwavering commitment to his craft ultimately earned him a recording contract with the prestigious ‘Advert Gang Record Label.’
The 29-year-old artist first caught the spotlight’s glare in 2018 when he joined forces with CDQ to transform a freestyle into a full-fledged track, ‘Stay Woke.’ Since then, he has continued to captivate audiences with a string of successful album releases, including ‘Death Before Dishonor,’ ‘Outta My Sight,’ ‘Proclivity,’ ‘Really Bhard (All in One Body),’ and ‘As It Should Be,’ available on streaming platforms like iTunes Music, Audiomack, and Spotify.
In a clever teaser campaign leading up to the release of his sixth album, the Jogbo native captured the attention of his fans by sharing a video of himself distributing cotton buds to people, urging them to prepare their ears for the auditory delights packed within the album.
