Nwankwo Meshach elected FUNAAB Student Union president in landslide victory

In a highly anticipated and closely contested election, Nwankwo Meshach, known as Mesh, emerged as the 34th Student Union President of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). 

Nwankwo Meshach secured an impressive 5,273 votes, solidifying his victory and demonstrating strong support from the student body.

The election featured several other candidates, with Tilapia garnering 1,446 votes, Gbade receiving 1,041 votes, Drayman with 257 votes, and Bold with 244 votes. However, it was Nwankwo Meshach who ultimately prevailed, winning the mandate to lead the student union.

In addition to the Student Union President, several other candidates were elected to various offices, further shaping the student leadership team at FUNAAB:

  • Vice President (Estarchips): 5,032 votes
  • General Secretary (AB Dan): 4,994 votes
  • Assistant General Secretary (Destiny): 6,962 votes
  • Director of Welfare (Lifted): 4,636 votes
  • Sport Director (HassanFol – HF): 5,683 votes
  • Director of Treasury (JKing): 3,381 votes
  • Director of Finance (Zenyblaq): 3,062 votes
  • Public Relations Officer (P.R.O) (AY-Corporate): 3,686 votes
  • Social Director (JayBee): 4,983 votes

The newly elected student union leaders are expected to assume their respective roles, working together to address the needs and concerns of the student body and contributing to the vibrant and dynamic campus life at FUNAAB.
