MultiChoice set to kick off Nigerian Idol season 9

MultiChoice Nigeria has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming ninth edition of Africa’s foremost music talent competition, Nigerian Idol. Known for awakening musical prowess in young Nigerians, the show’s organizers announced the new season on their Instagram page, introducing 9ice, Ric Hassani, and Omawumi as the three new judges. Additionally, versatile TV and radio presenter IK Osakioduwa was announced as the host for the season.

9ice, a renowned artist known for his timeless hits in the Yoruba language, will grace this season’s show with his wealth of knowledge. With over twenty years of experience and numerous awards, he is set to encourage participants to pursue their dreams fearlessly.

Joining 9ice on the show is Omawumi, known for her unique vocals and professional stage presence. Having been a guest judge on Nigerian Idol Season 7, her expertise in the music field, along with her experience as a judge, will greatly benefit the participants.

The final judge for the upcoming season is the talented Ric Hassani, whose vocals and lyrics have earned recognition both in Nigeria and abroad. His debut as a judge has sparked excitement among the audience, eager to see his artistic intelligence reflected on the show.

Nigerian Idol Season nine, themed “Let Your Dreams Take Flight,” is set to premiere on Sunday, April 21st, at 7 pm on all Africa Magic Channels. With heartfelt moments and unparalleled expertise from the judges, the show promises to captivate audiences while mentoring carefully chosen participants.
