Man collapses, passes away in Ogun

An unidentified man, believed to be in his late fifties, reportedly collapsed and passed away on Tuesday evening in the Oke-Abetu area of Abeokuta South Local Government in Ogun State.

According to a community member who preferred to remain anonymous, the man, who appeared healthy, suddenly slumped without any apparent cause and died on the spot. A Vice-Principal Academics from a nearby school mentioned that both the school management and community leaders tried to arrange for the government to collect the man’s remains, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Despite attempts to deposit the corpse at local hospitals, they were rejected due to lack of space. As a result, the body has been returned to the spot where he died. The man’s identity remains unknown, and no family members have been located. The police have informed health officials, who will take charge of the burial.
