Kogi: Dino Melaye, Ajaka decline Ododo’s victory

In the pulsating political spectacle of Kogi State, Dino Melaye and Muritala Ajaka, the dynamic duo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP), are shaking the stage by refusing to join the victory party hosted by Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Imagine a political carnival: Ododo crowned the king with 446,238 votes, leaving Ajaka with 259,052 and Melaye with a curious 46,262. But wait, Melaye is crashing the celebration, demanding an election remix. He’s belting out accusations of manual mischief, neglected BVAS beats, and premature result sheets that hit the charts before the official rhythm started.

Melaye, spotlight center in Lokoja, paints a vivid canvas of chaos across all three senatorial districts, deeming the spectacle “shameful and unhealthy.” The plot thickens as he throws shade at INEC, stuck in a rerun of past election fumbles. Will Kogi witness a political thriller with an unexpected twist? Grab your popcorn; the encore saga is just getting started!
