In a surprising revelation, Kim Kardashian, long known for her aversion to tattoos, recently spilled the ink on a well-kept secret during an episode of “The Kardashians,” streaming since Thursday, November 9.
At the age of 43, Kim, an unlikely candidate for tattoos, flaunted an unexpected infinity symbol inked inside her lip. “Something you don’t know about me,” she teased the cameras. The impromptu decision to get inked was spurred by the peer pressure following her Saturday Night Live (SNL) hosting debut.
Reflecting on the experience, Kim shared, “When I hosted SNL — me and all my friends got matching tattoos. Everyone got them on their hands and I was like, ‘There’s not a shot I will get a tattoo.’ But I finally put a bumper sticker on a Bentley.”
The reality star confessed that her discreet choice of location ensures that the tattoo remains hidden from the public eye. “No one knows, no one sees it, and I forget. But every once in a while, I will be flossing my teeth and I will see something black.”
This revelation marked a significant shift for Kim, who had adamantly opposed getting tattoos in the past, famously stating, “Honey, would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?” during an interview on The Wendy Williams Show in 2009.
Kim’s unexpected tattoo revelation comes on the heels of her successful SNL hosting gig in October 2021. Her monologue, where she humorously addressed aspects of her personal life, received widespread acclaim.
During the episode, Kim joked, “I’m excited to be here tonight to show you guys that I’m so much more than just a pretty face and good hair and great makeup and amazing boobs and a perfect butt. Basically, I’m just so much more than that reference photo my sisters show their plastic surgeons.”
The SNL stint also marked a notable moment in Kim’s romantic life as she briefly dated comedian Pete Davidson. Their relationship, which started post-collaboration on SNL, ended in August 2022. Pete, known for his penchant for tattoos, even got ink dedicated to Kim before their split.
While the relationship may have faded, Kim’s tattoo remains, serving as a lasting reminder of a surprising chapter in her life. New episodes of “The Kardashians” air on Hulu every Thursday, promising to unveil more intriguing facets of the Kardashian saga.
