This year, Graceland will host a star-studded event, “Christmas at Graceland,” in an all-new NBC Christmas special to honor Elvis Presley’s legacy and kickstart the holiday season. The exclusive lineup, featuring Alanis Morissette, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, Lana Del Rey, Post Malone, and The War and Treaty, will perform live from Elvis’s iconic Memphis home on Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and Peacock.
Each artist will pay tribute to the “King of Rock ‘N’ Roll” through song, sharing their inspirations from Presley’s love of music and the Christmas season. This historic televised concert marks the first time Graceland opens its doors for such an event, offering viewers an inside look and showcasing never-before-broadcast footage of the late legend.
Emmy-nominated actress Riley Keough, daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and an executive producer for the event, expressed excitement, stating, “My family and I are elated to open the doors to Graceland in this first-of-its-kind special.” The special will feature intimate musical performances inspired by Elvis’s cherished Christmases in Memphis, providing viewers a firsthand experience of the magic at Graceland.
Elvis Presley’s association with the holiday season, evident in his original songs and Christmas classics, will be celebrated. His influence will be further highlighted by performances in the TV event, which includes the iconic “Blue Christmas” from the 1957 album and 1971’s “Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas.” The event will also revisit The Comeback Special from December 1968, originally intended as a traditional Christmas special but transformed into an eclectic televised concert.
Fans can enjoy “Christmas at Graceland” immediately following NBC’s long-standing holiday tradition, the annual tree-lighting event, and “Christmas in Rockefeller Center.” Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the Rockefeller Center event on Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET will feature performances from Cher, Chloe Bailey, Keke Palmer, and others, airing simultaneously on NBC and Peacock.
“Christmas at Graceland” airs on Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, streaming live on Peacock, promising a unique celebration of Elvis Presley’s legacy and the festive season.
