JAMB to release 2024 UTME results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is gearing up to unveil the outcomes of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Scheduled to commence on Monday, a press briefing orchestrated by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, will take place in Abuja to formally announce the release of the results and address pertinent matters surrounding the examination.

The anticipation for this announcement has been building, evidenced by a notice dispatched to journalists in the capital city by the Board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.

Speculation suggests that the initial release on Monday will encompass results exclusively from candidates who participated in the UTME during its early stages. Subsequent releases are anticipated after a period of “due diligence” is conducted.

JAMB elucidated that this brief postponement of the full release aims to facilitate meticulous scrutiny. The board underscores the importance of this measure in upholding the credibility and integrity of the results. This scrutiny aims to alleviate concerns regarding potential malpractices such as impersonation and mixed biometrics, ensuring transparency and fairness.

Over the past week, a staggering 1.9 million candidates have engaged in the 2024 UTME across more than 700 Computer-Based Test centers nationwide. The examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19, 2024, is slated to conclude today, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of countless aspirants.
