On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu welcomed former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This visit took place shortly after President Tinubu’s return from a four-day working trip to Lagos.

The meeting was notable for the presence of several prominent government officials. Among those in attendance were Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President; Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation; and Hadiza Bala Usman, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination. This gathering underscored the importance of Blair’s visit and the strong diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
