Ijogbon movie: trouble for Kunle Afolayan as art director threatens court case

Art director Tunji Afolayan has issued a legal threat against KAP Production Ltd, the movie company owned by Kunle Afolayan, regarding an alleged breach of contract in connection with the film ‘Ijogbon.’ ‘Ijogbon,’ which was released on October 13, is Kunle’s most recent cinematic creation.

Taking to Instagram last Friday, Tunji shared an Instagram post containing a letter prepared by his legal representatives, Osifowora and Co. The letter, which Ogunwatch observed, asserts that he had entered into a contract with KAP Productions Limited but was not provided with a copy of the signed documents.

The letter further states that Tunji’s name and credit as the “art director” were conspicuously absent from the ‘Ijogbon’ movie credits. It reads, “In light of the aforementioned, our client insists that his name and the role for which he was contracted and contributed to be reinstated and accurately credited in the film ‘Ijogbon’ as the art director.”

The letter concludes by demanding that these corrections be made within seven days of receiving the correspondence, cautioning that further action will be taken if the requested actions are not promptly addressed.
