I got fresh human head, hands from Islamic cleric, suspect says

In a chilling revelation, the Oyo State Police Command paraded a 45-year-old suspected ritualist, Hassan Kolawole, on Friday, who was found in possession of a fresh human head and two hands in Ibadan, the state capital.

The suspect, remorseful yet candid, disclosed to journalists that he acquired the gruesome remains from a Muslim cleric named Waheed, whom he met at a Maolud event. Kolawole, struggling to provide for his wife and two children, succumbed to the cleric’s promise of a money ritual that required the use of human body parts.

In his confession, Kolawole stated, “I have one wife and two children, and things are very hard for me in taking good care of them. I met one Waheed, who is also an Islamic cleric at a Maolud. We discussed it, and he told me that he knew how to do money rituals that would require the use of human parts.”

The suspect went on to reveal that he had no knowledge of obtaining human parts but was enticed by Waheed’s assurances. Waheed allegedly fulfilled his promise by delivering the fresh human head and hands to Kolawole at Amuloko, where they met early in the morning. Kolawole admitted to keeping the gruesome items in his office, where he attended to people seeking spiritual assistance.

The police, acting on intelligence, conducted a search of Kolawole’s office on the day he received the human remains. Unfortunately, Waheed, the alleged accomplice, is now at large.

In a parallel development, the Oyo State Police Command paraded nine other suspects arrested from various locations within the state. These individuals are facing charges related to murder, kidnapping, cultism, and theft. The police assured the public that they would continue to work diligently to ensure the safety and security of the residents, urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
