The Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee has designated Setonji Koshoedo as the acting National Secretary, a role he assumed from his prior position as the Deputy National Secretary. This announcement was made by the PDP’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, following a Tuesday meeting of the NWC.
Damagum clarified that Koshoedo’s appointment is provisional, pending the resolution of a case currently before the Enugu High Court. In light of this, he urged all parties involved in the legal dispute to temporarily set aside their actions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the party’s due process.
The acting National Chairman revealed that there are conflicting Court Orders, specifically mentioning the Enugu High Court’s directive for Sam Anyanwu to cease presenting himself as a party member and instructing Damagum to acknowledge Sunday Udeh-Okoye as the party’s National Secretary.
